BOYS

Small School
The top of the small school boy?s poll remained the same, as the top three teams had identical totals as in the preseason poll. After that things changed greatly with three new teams entering the top ten. Randolph Southern in 5th and Cambridge City in 6th made their initial appearance on the strength of their strong 1,2 showing in the Rushville Invitational small school race. Carroll (Flora) entered the top ten after an easy win in their own invitational.

Medium Schools
Although Heritage Christian remained on top, they lost considerable support. In the preseason poll they received every 1st place vote, this week two other teams (Silver Creek and Western) each received a first place vote. Yorktown in 7th was the only newcomer, their stock rose with a win in the Rushville invitational medium school race. Oak Hill took a big drop, mostly due to injury problems. The Golden Eagles could still be extremely dangerous later in the season.

GIRLS

Small Schools
Hebron remained the class of the small school girls as they grabbed every first place vote. The only newcomer was South Knox in 10th. The Spartans ran a close second to Oldenburg at the Rushville Invitational.
